Refractory castable has the characteristics of high temperature performance, good thermal stability, anti-flaking, slag resistance, strong integrity, good thermal insulation performance and long service life.
 
Refractory castables, according to the different materials of aggregate and powder, can be divided into more types, such as aluminum silicate, corundum, siliceous, magnesia, zirconium and silicon carbide, etc., among which aluminate and corundum castables are used in the most amount.
 
According to the binder used,different varieties, can be divided into alumina castables, water glass castables, phosphate castables.
 
Baking of Furnace Linging
 
The heating furnace generally adopts a castable lining. The heating furnace is a seamless lining with good integrity and energy conservation. The lining is mostly a composite lining structure, and the bottom of the furnace is a refractory brick structure and a castable lining.
 
1.The furnace wall and the top working layer are castable linings.
 
2.The insulation layer is insulated brick and various ceramic fiber products.
 
3.The refractory castable lining is mostly on-site modulating the whole pouring.
 
The flat-blade burners on the top of the radiant heating furnace are mostly pre-cast and then installed. The furnace is poured into the furnace lining, which contains a large amount of water before baking. The purpose of baking is to eliminate the free water and crystal water contained in the furnace lining. It is the key link for high-yield, long-life, high-quality, low-cost, energy-saving and environmental protection. If the baking is not proper, the heating rate will be too fast, causing the lining to crack, peel off or explode. Explosion during baking and accompanied by sound is called "explosion"
