Refractory Brick Prices are fine-tuned by Natural Gas Prices

Today's weather is getting colder, and a new round of natural gas price increases is coming soon, and the price of refractory bricks will also be affected by a small increase.

At present, under the circumstances of vigorously promoting environmental protection, the demand for natural gas is growing rapidly, and the burning of refractory bricks is inseparable from natural gas.

There is a gap of about 15 billion square meters of natural gas supply in 2018, which is also a factor in the increase in refractory brick prices.

The firing of refractory bricks directly affects the quality of the product, and the natural gas consumed during high temperature firing is also relatively large.

When firing primary, secondary, and high alloy aluminum bricks, the general firing temperature is 1430~1450 °C, and the heat preservation is 40 hours.

When firing three grade high alumina refractory bricks, the firing temperature is 1390-1400 ° C, and the temperature is kept for 24h~32h.

If a first class high alloy refractory brick is fired in a tunnel kiln, the firing temperature is usually 1500~1560 °C, which requires a large amount of natural gas to raise the temperature.

The rate of temperature rise varies with the materials and products. The low temperature stage before 600 °C should be slowly heated: 600~1200 °C, the heating rate can be slightly faster: 1200 °C to the highest firing temperature should control the heating rate.

The cooling rate should also be controlled during the cooling phase. High alumina refractory brick kiln (or kiln car) is generally used in paperback. In order to avoid black hearts during firing, side loading is also possible.
