Micro Pore Carbon Bricks Description
Micro pore carbon bricks not only have excellent regular performances, such as mechanical strength and high refractoriness,but also have good application performances, including alkali resistance, thermal conductivity, molten iron corrosion resistance, etc. Meanwhile, micro pore carbon bricks have low air permeability, average pore diameter is less than 1μm, less than 1μm pores volume ratio is larger than 70%.
Micro Pore Carbon Bricks Characteristics
Micro pore carbon bricks adopt high temperature (1500~2000℃) electric calcined anthracite as main raw material, proper quantity of natural graphite, alumina, pure silicon powder, silicon carbide and so on are added into the raw material to improve high temperature performance. Pure silicon or silicon carbide can effectively reduce pore diameter, so iron liquid and molten slag permeation can be reduced, besides, carbon blocks thermal conductivity and oxidization resistance are improved. Alumina added into micro pore carbon blocks can increase alkali metal salts corrosion resistance and molten iron erosion resistance. Middle temperature pitch is usually used as binder of micro pore carbon blocks.
