Successful Ending of Gasifier Roasting
Since RS Kiln Engineering company successfully accomplished the construction of 3 sets of circulating fluidized bed gasifier, our professional engineering team began to design furnace roasting craft and prepare for the roasting.
On July 6, 2019, the roasting of 3 sets CFB gasifier kicked off. As known to all, furnace roasting is one of the five leading factors (refractory material quality, furnace design craft, construction technique, roasting craft and operation management) which affect the service life of CFB gasifier.
Why furnace roasting is a must?
The purpose of roasting furnace is to eliminate natural water and crystal water in furnace chamber refractory lining, partition wall lining, flue, chimney and so on. During roasting, reasonable roasting curve must be designed according to actual applications. temperature raising rate should not too quick, or water will vaporize intensively and accumulate in furnace linings, which may cause the deformation, cracking or even collapse of furnace linings.
As the picture suggests, at early stage of furnace roasting, large amount of water is eliminated from furnace lining .It falls like rain.
Different models of furnaces have different roasting time, heating curve and heating temperature. The shortest roasting time is about 4~7 days, max. heating temperature is 350~600℃, while the longest roasting time is about 85~90days, and max. roasting temperature can reach to 1200℃.
